Cross-Platform Marketing

MinistryCOM 2009 Breakout Session

Presenter:

Zach Montroy
Pastor of Arts & Communications
Ginger Creek Community Church
Aurora, IL

Session Description:

Most companies have the advantage of marketing to a narrow demographic. What do you do when money is tight, people resources are thin and you’ve got a multi-ethnic, four-generation audience that you’ve got to connect with? Ginger Creek is smack dab in the middle of some of the poorest and wealthiest counties in Illinois. We’re in the middle of a challenging journey, learning how to create effective communication tools for both yuppies and severally under-resourced families.

Learn how to keep your message both consistent and relevant in a multicultural, multigenerational, socially and age-diverse environment. In this session we’ll explore what to drop, what to add, and how to shift your communication values to effectively communicate your church’s message to your community.

About the Presenter:

zachmontroyZach Montroy currently serves as Pastor of Arts & Communications at Ginger Creek Community Church in Aurora, Illinois.

Zach’s primary job is to lead two teams at Ginger Creek. One is a team of artists charged with creating transformational services that harness music, drama, production and media. The other is the Communications Team, which primarily creates compelling experiences in print and media touch points. This team works hard to identify barriers, remove them, and develop strategies that connect the audience’s needs with their next steps in their relationship with Christ

Zach is passionate about creating opportunities that connect faith with action. By harnessing the tools of effective communication and transformational moments through the arts, people are encouraged to live out their relationship with Christ by serving the least, the last and the lost. Zach lives in Aurora’s East Side community with his wife, Jacki.
