OK, so that sets a record for the longest title of MinistryCOM breakout session. But there is some truth there. The main topic of this workshop is Building Usable Websites and I think many web designers can learn some valuable lessons from airport design.
Here is a short interview where I discuss this concept: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LNWkjrGzUE
(yeah, sorry about the video quality, we had to shoot the interview when the studio was still under construction.)

Evan McBroom will join our webcast to talk about the basics of church communications. We will discuss the basic challenges, responsibilities and resources for people in church communications. If you are new to church communications and overwhelmed by the job, this session will help you map out a strategy for survival — and even success!
Evan McBroom is the founder of Fishhook, an innovative communications and creative services company that partners with churches. He is leading the the Basic Training Track at MinistryCOM this year and is on the MinistryCOM board.
The webcast will start at noon central time and include an online Q&A session at the end. Bring your questions and join the webcast. Webcast is free.
The earlybird deadline for discounted MinistryCOM registrations is July 31st. You must register by then to get the discounted rate.
I know the airlines and other conferences have started a practice of offering super last-minute discounts. I think this cheats their loyal customers who registered early and just encourages (and rewards) the practice of last second registrations. As such, MinistryCOM does not offer last second discounts, secret discount code through bloggers and partners, and other marketing gimmicks to drive up last minute registrations at the expense of our loyal members.
The best price for MinistryCOM is the earlybird price. It expires in just over two weeks. The earlybird discount will not be extended, and I promise you we won’t offer super-special last minute deals the week before the conference. I want to reward our faithful attendees who do register early every year.
To those of you who do register early, THANK YOU, you make conference planning and budgeting much easier! Register today.

James will also be co-presenting a workshop on Building A Rockin’ Website at MinistryCOM this year in Dallas.
If you are trying to develop your church logo, your church brand, or just convince leadership that the logo is not the brand — this session is for you.
