Years ago in our regional workshops we did “Show and Tell” sessions. Everyone brought copies of their communications materials (newsletters, Sunday handouts, postcards, etc). We dumped them all on a table and everyone got to look around and get ideas from everyone else.
We haven’t tried that at a national conference yet — frankly because it takes a lot of space we never had. This year we will have some extra space.
What do you think? Should we try “Show and Tell” at MinistryCOM this year? Will you bring samples of your materials? Do you want to see other churches examples?
Give me some feedback please. Comment on this post or email info@MinistryCOM.org and reference “Show & Tell”. I’d love to do this if enough people will participate.

Maybe an electronic version of this?
I like the Show & Tell idea.
I’ll bring some “stuff” to share. I’m always interested to see what others are doing.
It’s all about building the Kingdom and sharing Jesus.
Definitely like the idea.
I would strongly suggest an electronic version of this, as well. It would be swell to have a place to go either before or after MinistryCom where we can find PDFs of all the Show & Tell items.
The last thing I need is MORE stacks of hardcopy samples on my desk! =)
I am interested in this. I was planning to bring a binder with samples from our church, and would love to see what others are doing.
I’ll bring some examples of our better stuff. But I would like to see an electronic version.
We’ll make sure that everyone who brings an electronic version of their materials gets a free copy of everything submitted electronically. (We don’t have the man-power to scan a thousand hardcopy brochures, but we can combine all the electronic copies.) If you don’t submit anything the electronic version will be available at additional cost after the conference. Sound fair?
